Sometimes Wine is just necessary and not only to look fancy when you throw a party or the prestige it carries along with its name but it’s necessary even in the subject matter of leading a healthy life. If a person has had a heart attack then consumption of 125ml glass of red wine twice a day can reduce the risk of a stroke by 20 percent and that of a second heart attack by 50 percent.

One reason for this is that high density lipoprotein (HDL) that is commonly known as required levels of cholesterol is raised by alcohol consumption. In comparison with other alcoholic drinks like beer, vodka or scotch, wine comes out to be the best if health is concerned. It is believed and even true that consuming beer has many benefits like reducing the risk of stone in the kidney, getting type-2 diabetes and one unbelievable fact that it reduces the probability of cataract forming in the eyes by increasing antioxidant activity. Even with all these benefits, wine still tops all other alcoholic drinks in terms of keeping a person comparatively healthy. A standard serving of wine has fewer calories as compared to a standard pint of beer. If we compare the alcohol content in wine and beer than the alcohol content in 1 glass of wine is equivalent to 1 and a half bottles of light beer.

Now when we compare people who consume only beer with those who consume only wine, people consuming wine have 34 percent lower mortality rate than beer or other spirit drinkers. Also brain function declines at a slower rate in wine drinkers as compared to non-drinkers. Red wine also contains Restorative which can keep a person look young for a greater period of time as it can blunt the effect of ageing. So for those who wish to stay young wine is the best solution.
